Olive oil from Thassos

Olive oil has been known since ancient times as food, as medicine and as a precious gift and has been described and honored in numerous historical documents. And, in principle, the best qualities of olive oil are still produced just as in antiquity: Using stones or, later simple stone mills, to crush and prepare the olives so that they could then be pressed to gain the precious oil.

Greece, after Spain and Italy, is the third largest producer of the "liquid gold" of the Mediterranean.
In addition to the simple qualities of large supermarket chains, regional high quality olive oil, carefully pressed “Extra Virgin olive oil”, features by its excellent flavour and by its very good digestibility.
